fathers, food fun & more
April 12, 2016
It's day 3 of the Papertrey Ink April release countdown! Today is a group post day and we are all sharing project with new products that feature fathers, food, and more.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on April 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
First up is this burger card that I made with the new King of the Grill set. How fun is this set and how great for cards geared towards the men in our life? There are a bunch of great sentiments to build up the "burger", some toppings, and then you can't forget the bun and a garnish on the top.
I set my burger on a plaid tablecloth that is actually a patterned paper from the Holiday Plaid patterned paper collection. The kraft cardstock frame around everything is a part of the new Cover Plate: Delightful die.
There are some great new dies to customize the little snack cups you can find at your local store to fill with little treats and snacks for guests at a get together - or just to give as a fun little wrap for a gift. As I was playing around with the new dies, I realized that the puff topper piece could be the top of a hamburger bun and the snack cup could be the bottom of the bun...! I added a bit of Dark Chocolate twill ribbon and it instantly transformed everything into this whimsical and fun little burger wrap. I added the "just for you" on the top of a skewer and poked it through a hole I punched in the circle piece at the top of the puff topper. Can't you just see a whole little plate of these at a barbecue party?
Here's a card that is perfect for giving a gift card or other small token or note. I took the new Favor It: Popcorn box stamped with the stripes from the new Boxed Background Stripes set and just used 2 pieces to make the front and back of a pocket. I just cut off the bottom flaps from the dies cut pieces and then stitched the bottom up with my sewing machine. I attached the popcorn box pocket to the card front that is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" so the pocket would stick up above the top of the card front, but still fit into a standard A2 sized envelope.
The label on the front is created with the new Treat Box Tag die and the frame from the new Treat Box Tag Lines set. Slide a gift card into the pocket and it's ready to give!
Now, of course, all of these cards and gift do not have to just be for the men in your life. You can give them to just about anyone!
You can see more new products being debuted today for the April release over at Nichole's blog. From there you can link up to other members of the design team who have new things to share with you today too!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back very soon with more to share!
