introducing colorful words and just swimming

Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown! Today I have some project to share that feature the new Colorful Words set and one of the projects also features my new Keep Swimming set.

All of the new stamps sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on May 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

The Colorful Words set features a font that has open areas perfect for adding a little color into. I did that here to the word "celebrate" with my Clean Color markers. I stamped the coordinating script sentiment underneath. Each large word in the Colorful Words set has a coordinating script sentiment.

I added ballons to the top of the word "celebrate" with a die cut balloon that I trimmed from the Best Birthday die in several different colors. Now this card is ready for a party!

For this card, I created a background by stamping the "hello" down the one side of the white cardstock in Classic Kraft, Aqua Mist, and Spring Moss inks.

I stamped another "hello" onto a notched banner die (from the Notched Star Banner die collection) cut from kraft cardstock in a waterproof black ink along with the companion " friend" word. I added some white into the letters with a white watercolor crayon and wet brush. A few white sequins were the finishing touch around the main sentiment on the kraft cardstock banner.

And finally, a peek at my new Keep Swimming set! I used the solid whale from the Keep Swimming set and carefully inked the different areas with Hawaiian Shores and Enchanted Evening inks to achieve the multi color effect. I added the whale to a background that I did on some watercolor paper with Aqua Mist ink and some stamped Hawaiian Shores bubbles.

The "thanks" is from the Colorful Words set - painted with some Aqua Mist ink - and then I added the "a ton" to the sentiment by selectively inking the "thanks a ton" sentiment from the Keep Swimming set. That created the perfect sentiment for this card. A few clear sequins were the perfect bubbly finish.
