Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown. Today is a group post and we are all sharing projects made with the new Forget Me Not set and new Noted and Double-Ups dies.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on June 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
The Forget Me Not set is one that is beautiful for creating sympathy cards... card that isn't the easiest to make, but one you need to have on hand. For this card, I paired the forget me not flower with the "with sympathy" from the new Graceful Greetings II set.
The card base is out of kraft cardstock and die cut with the new Noted: Scalloped A2 die. I am so excited about having a card base die like this with the scalloped edge and stitching line detail. These new dies will probably see so much use and may live on my desk most of the time instead of being put away for any length of time!
The focal stamped piece on the card is die cut with a Double-Ups die. Once you start playing with the options and possibilities of the stitching lines and embossed scallops from using these new dies you are going to be excited and inspired by the possibilities! After I die cut the stamped white cardstock out, I inked up the die with some Fine Linen ink and then sent it through my die cut machine again to emboss it (using an embossing sandwich versus a cutting one.) I love the subtle color that makes the embossed edge pop just a bit more than if I had left it plain.
This sweet little card is die cut with the new Noted: Scalloped Squares dies. I love the little holes on the scalloped edge and am hoping we see some larger card size options with this detail - hint, hint!
I created the circle frame with the dies in the Noted: Scalloped Square die collection - what a simply elegant frame to build the focal point of your card with. I added some forget me not flowers and then added the sentiment in the center of the circle frame using the stamped "gone, but not" along with the die cut "forgotten" word.
