Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown. Today I am introducing you to the What the Doodle: Sun stamp set and coordinating products.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on June 15th 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.

What the Doodle: Sun is the newest addition to the What the Doodle series. There are coordinating dies available as well as a coloring paper pad and watercolor paper pad. The What the Doodle stamp set retails for $5.

I used a piece of paper from the watercolor pad for this card. I colored the sun and clouds with my Clean Color markers and then added water for a watercolor effect. I stamped a few clouds and swirls from the What the Doodle: Sun set onto the kraft card base with Classic Kraft ink before attaching the watercolored piece that I trimmed down just a bit to the card front.

The sentiment is the new Big Basics: Thanks die that I cut from some watercolor paper that I had and "sending" from the What the Doodle: Sun set.

For this card, I used one of the Sun & Surf stencils that debuted last month to stencil the sunburst in the background with Orange Zest and Summer Sunrise inks. I used the What the Doodle: Sun cut out sun die with some Summer Sunrise paper and stamped the sun with Orange Zest ink. I attached the sun right over the circular part of then stenciled design.

I added the sentiment with a few strips of white cardstock popped up a bit with some foam tape and a few clear sequins to finish the card off.

Finally is this sweet sunshine card. I stamped the sun and clouds in True Black and then colored them in with colored pencil that I blended with some gamsol (odorless mineral spirits.) Each one is die cut and attached to the A1 sized kraft card base that is cut out with a die that you will hear more about a little later in the countdown.

The sentiment on the card is from the Rainy Day Sentiments set. What a sweet card to send out to a friend to send a little sunshine their way.
