papertrey ink august release wrap up

halloween stitching fun

Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink August release countdown! Today is a group post day and the whole design team is sharing projects created with new Halloween stitching dies. I used my new Pumpkin Expressions set in my project today as well.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be made available to purchase on August 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

I created a Mini Scrapbook to showcase a few photos from our Halloween in 2014 and used the stitching dies to create stitched embellishments for my pages.

On the cover, I used the Stitched Beaded Cauldron dies and the stars from the Stitched Moon & Sketched Stars dies. Instead of beading on the cauldron, I did french knots - which I think turned out pretty cool. The "happy happy Halloween" title is stamped with sentiments in the Pumpkin Expressions set. I added the date using the Type Strip Numbers III set and the Type Bits Strip die on some white cardstock that I had sent through my sticker machine.

I used the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 3 die for my pages and since I did the stitched stars on each page, I backed them to cover up the embroidery floss on the back. The Monthly Moments: Journal Card 4 die works absolutely perfectly for this!

This page features a few of our carved pumpkins and then I added the stitched moon and stars. The "eek!" is from the Pumpkin Expressions set.

This page features a picture of my Hana carving her pumpkin. I pulled out Monthly Moments: October to use the "carving pumpkins" sentiment, added her name with the Type Strips III set and coordinating die, and used the stitched bat and stars for the page embellishment.

This page is Tacy in her Halloween costume. I added the stitched hat and stars, the "hocus pocus" sentiment from Monthly Moments: October, and her name with the Type Strips III set and coordinating die.

And this final page is a picture of my girls together at Disney World in their costumes. We went to the "Not So Scary Halloween Party" and had a fabulous time!

The "trick or treat" sentiment is from the Pumpkin Expressions set, and I added the stitched bat and stars to embellish the page.

How fun is this book to have out during the fall season so that family and friends can look through it? I know everyone will enjoy it!

You can see more new products being debuted today for the August release over at Nichole's blog. From there you can link up to other members of the design team who have new things to share with you today too!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back very soon with more to share!
