introducing spooky smiles & autumn pumpkins + pumpkin expressions
August 10, 2016
Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink August release countdown! I am sharing a new set designed by Kay Miller (so excited for you, Kay!) called Spooky Smiles and then I have two new sets making their debut this month as well called Autumn Pumpkins and Pumpkin Expressions.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be made available to purchase on August 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
Autumn Pumpkins is a set that includes several pumpkin images that you can color or stamp with the coordinating solid images. I have included all sort of fun details and sentiments for dressing up the pumpkins and creating beautiful projects for fall. There are coordinating dies for the pumpkins. The stamp set retails for $24.
Pumpkin Expressions is the perfect addition to use with the Autumn Pumpkins set to transform them for Halloween! Pumpkin Expressions will retail for $5.
Onto my projects which focus on Spooky Smiles today, but I included a few peeks from my new sets too...
All of the images in the Spooky Smiles set are just adorable. I stamped up a bunch them on white cardstock and then spent some time coloring them with colored pencils and blending with odorless mineral spirits.
I used a circle punch to cut off the top of the pumpkin so I could have the candle tumbling out and up from it. The sentiment on the card is from my new Pumpkin Expressions set.
There are the cutest little swirls in the Spooky Smiles set and I stamped them in Orange Zest ink to create fun little flying trails for the bats that I put on this card.
The bats are also colored with colored pencils on this card. I added some stars die cut from Orange Zest cardstock sprinkled between the bats as well as to the "boo to you" sentiment from the Spooky Smiles set.
You know I love Halloween tags! I stamped a background with pumpkins from my new Autumn Pumpkins set and added the faces from my new Pumpkin Expressions set. I added the cute black cat in front of the pumpkins and had her wear the witch hat that is also a part of the Spooky Smiles set
I used the Tag Its: Quilted die for the tag base. Originally I had the whole tag in kraft cardstock, but then decided to trim out the stamped image and add it to an Orange Zest tag base. I had to add a few stars to this tag to finish it off!
You can see more new products being debuted today for the August release over at Nichole's blog. From there you can link up to other members of the design team who have new things to share with you today too!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back very soon with more to share!
