classic holiday inspirations

Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink September release countdown. Today is a group post day and we are sharing projects that are inspired by classic holiday memories and ephemera. I used my new Christmas Faith set on one of the projects that I am sharing today too.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on September 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

These classic Christmas Golden Books are something that I have fond memories of from my childhood. The Jingle Bells book featured on the top of this pile was a particular favorite. I adore the illustrations in this book!

I was inspired by the book to create this set of cards using the new Christmas Critters and Christmas Critters Sentiments sets. The little mice in the Christmas Critter set is just the cutest and I love the little sweater options for the one mouse and the scarf options for the other. There are some fun accessories that you can have the mice hold or build your scene with and I loved putting it all together.

I made sure that I added a flurry of snow on the kraft card base with some Fresh Snow ink before adding all of the elements to the card front. The sentiments are from the Christmas Critters Sentiments set and I stamped them onto Pure Poppy banners from the Tag Sale: Quilted die collection.

One of my very favorite things about the holiday and winter season is when there is freshly fallen snow on the ground and it is softly lit by the moonlight just right so that everything just glitters.

I stamped the church from the new Winter Village set along with a few trees and then buried everything in glittery snow. I used the In the Meadow die for the snowbanks and added lots of white/clear chunky glitter that I had in my stash.

I added the "oh, holy night" sentiment in True Black ink from the Christmas Faith set and then I stamped some snowflakes falling around the scene in Fresh Snow ink. The snowflakes are also from the Christmas Faith set. The result is a pretty close look and feel to that glittering snow that I love so much!

You can see more new products being debuted today for the September release over at Nichole's blog. From there you can link up to other members of the design team who have new things to share with you today too!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back very soon with more to share!
