papertrey ink september release wrap up
September 15, 2016
It's release day at Papertrey Ink! All of the new stamp sets and products that the design team have been sharing during the September release countdown will be available to purchase tonight, September 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.
Today I have the rest of my projects for this September release to share with you...
This sweet card was created with the new Splits: Merry & Bright set. I embossed the frame image with clear embossing powder onto some watercolor paper and then added color around the embossed image with some ink refills and a watercolor brush.
When everything was dry, I went back and added the details. I stamped the sentiment into the frame images added some stamped snowflakes in Ocean Tides ink and also added some die cut snowflakes. the card base is die cut with the Noted: A1 scalloped die from kraft cardstock.
I used watercolor paper again on this card that is created with the new Holiday Greens and Christmas Faith sets. I inked the greenery images up and then spritzed them with some water before stamping them for a great watercolor effect.
The "all is calm, all is bright" sentiment is from the Christmas Faith set and I also added some tiny berry dots from the Christmas Faith set scattered around the greenery.
I used the Holiday Greens Borders set for this card. I stamped the first layer of the greenery border in Simply Chartreuse ink and then stamped the next border over the top with Olive Twist ink. The great thing about the Holiday Greens Border set is that the stamping is quick and easy and you don't have to take the time to design your stamped border.
The sentiment on the card is from the new Fancy Pants: Holiday set. I stamped the sentiment in True Black and then added the coordinating border in Scarlet Jewel ink.
The cute pile of packages is from the new Gifts of the Season set. I had a little fun playing with color blending on this card. The presents from top top bottom go Pure Poppy to Scarlet Jewel in the red and then Simply Chartreuse to Olive twist in the greens. I love the resulting look!
I added the "happy holidays" sentiment from the new Keep it Simple: Happy Holidays set below the present pile.
And finally, a some new elf outfits for Tacy's Dress Up Doll set using the new Dress Up Dolls: Elves.
I colored the outfits with colored pencils and then blended with some Gamsol on an adhesive sheet. I die cut the outfits from the adhesive sheet and attached them to die cut pieces from a magnetic sheet. Tacy is going to love these cute elf outfits so much!
