quick crafts for the holidays

Hi everyone and welcome to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink October release countdown. Today is a group post day and we are all sharing projects that are quick to make for the holiday season. My project uses both of my new sets: Sprig Wreath and Jingle All the Way.

You know I love making tags for the holidays and they are definitely quick to put together. Tags can also make a quick card - they are a great card for a focal point and you don't need many extras to make the card shine.

I stamped the sentiment from Jingle All the Way first: stamp "all the way" in a waterproof black ink, then stamp the "jingle" above/overlapping the "all the way" in Versamark ink, and emboss with clear embossing powder. I added Spring Moss ink with an ink blending tool over and around the sentiment. Where the sentiment is embossed, it resists the ink.

I used the circle die from the Noted: Scalloped Square die collection to create the circle. First marking on the cardstock where the edge of the circle would be, then stamping all of the sprigs, pinecones, and berries from the Sprig Wreath set around the circle border, and then die cutting out when I finished the stamping. I attached the die to a Tag Sale #4 die cut out of kraft cardstock.

Once the tag is done it can work as a tag to attach to a gift and it can also become a card so easily. I stamped a background on the card base with the Background Basics: Farm & Barn set and then added the tag. I punched a hole where the top of the tag sits and then tied a length of twine through the hole and around the top of the card.
