introducing script swirls: christmas and jingle all the way

Hi everyone and welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink October release countdown. Today I am introducing the new Script Swirls: Christmas set. I have 2 new sets making their debut this month: Sprig Wreath and Jingle All the Way. One of my projects today uses Jingle All the Way and tomorrow I will have more to share with my new Sprig Wreath set.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on October 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

Jingle All the Way is a holiday themed sentiment set that I put together with some of my own brush script writing along with companion sentiments and words. There is coordinating word dies available and the Jingle All the Way set retails for $15.

Onto the projects that I have to share today...

I had so much fun creating with the Script Swirls: Birthday set and so I was very happy to see this holiday version. Right away, I thought of putting the swirl into an ornament and so I had to make that happen. The circle that is included in the Noted: Scalloped Square die collection is the perfect size to use with the swirls in the Script Swirls: Christmas set.

I embossed the swirl in gold onto a Pure Poppy circle die cut and then attached to my card with some Rustic Jute button twine and a stamped spring of holly at the top of the ornament. The background is stamped with more holly from the Script Swirls: Christmas set in Classic Kraft ink onto kraft cardstock.

The sentiment on this card is from my new Jingle All the Way set. I stamped it in a black waterproof ink onto white cardstock.

Next, I had some fun playing with the swirls and the emboss resist technique. I stamped the swirls with Versamark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I used a ink blending tool to add color to each of the swirls in Green Parakeet, Pure Poppy, and Ripe Avocado inks.

After adding the color I went back and stamped snowflakes in the same colors on each swirl. A few wooden stars around the sentiment is the perfect finishing touch for this card.

This card was just plain fun to stamp. I stamped the swirl in black ink and then added all of the fun detail images throughout the swirl in Aqua Mist and Limeade Ice inks. This non-traditional color scheme for a Christmas card is fresh and fun.

The sentiment at the top of the card is added with the Wet Paint Holiday set and coordinating die. The card front and base are all die cut out with a Noted: Scalloped A2 die.

You can see more new products being debuted today for the October release over at Nichole's blog. From there you can link up to other members of the design team who have new things to share with you today too!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back very soon with more to share!
