table service revisited

Happy November everyone! I hope everyone had a fun Halloween. This was our first year with no trick or treaters. We still carved pumpkins, handed out candy, and watched a few Halloween movies.

This first of the month means that it is time for the Papertrey Ink senior design team challenge. This month we are revisiting the Table Service set:

This is great set to use for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, but you can use this set for really any time of the year.

I have a few cards to share with you today: one that work for anytime and one for a birthday celebration.

For this card that can be used any time of the year, I created a stamped background using the plates in the Table Service set. I stamped them in Fresh Snow ink onto kraft cardstock and then added details to the plates with Pale Peony and Spring Moss inks.

The sentiment is stamped over the top of the plates with a waterproof black ink. A waterproof ink really stands out onto of the Fresh Snow ink.

Here's the birthday card created with the Table Service set. I stamped one plate like I did on the previous card with Fresh Snow ink and then added the detail with Spring Moss ink. I added the piece of cake that I stamped and cut out to the plate. I trimmed a teeny bite off the cake and put it on the stamped fork and I even added a few crumbs to the plate too.

A rhinestone on the cherry finished off this card perfectly!
