feel better inspiration + more to have & to hold
papertrey ink december release wrap up

mom & me valentine inspiration + more to have & to hold

Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink December release countdown. Today is a group post day to inspire creative ideas for making Valentines with your kids. I also have a card to share that is created with my new To Have & To Hold set.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on December 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

It's so easy to pick up some Valentines at the store, but I have the best memories of sitting at the table with my girls and making Valentines with them to share with their friends. My Hana has always been really into making little envelopes for Valentines and so I thought of using the Monthly Moments: Journal Pocket 2 and then use the Monthly Moments: Mini Journal Card die with it to make a mini Valentine and a coordinating pocket to slip it into.

I stamped the Dress up Dolls: Basics and the new Dress Up Dolls: Puppy Love images onto the mini cards and colored them with colored pencils. Coloring the images can be a fun activity to do together too! You could use markers, colored pencils, watercolors - whatever you want!

On the outside of the pocket, I added a heart to the front of the pocket and stamped the "to" and "from" on it so that they can be filled in for who the Valentine is for and from.

This next Valentine is just the cutest - and I can see using all of the designs in the new Jumping for Joy collection for other occasions too! I chose to do the teddy bear die cut from kraft cardstock and his tummy stamped in Fresh Snow ink.

There's little bit of string knotting and threading on the back of the bear so that when you pull the string, the bear's legs and arms bounce up and down. Nichole will have all of the details over at her blog on how to put the jumping animals together.

There's a great card base that is designed so the bear can be tucked behind it and a banner perfect for stamping a coordinating sentiment onto.

I had so much fun creating these cute Valentines to share with you today and I am inspired to make more. Between all of the design team members sharing projects today, you are not going to be short of Valentine crafting inspiration!

Finally, I have another card to share that I created with my new To Have & To Hold set. I linked 2 of the die cut heart wreaths together to create an elegant wedding card.

The wreaths are embellished with die cut flowers and leaves from the set. I stamped the sentiment onto a banner to go across the linked hearts and I scattered some little stamped/die cut hearts across the card front.

You can see more new products being debuted today for the December release over at Nichole's blog. From there you can link up to other members of the design team who have new things to share with you today too!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back very soon with more to share!
