more to have & to hold
December 11, 2016
Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink December release countdown. Today I am sharing a project that I created with my new To Have & To Hold set.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on December 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
I think one of the things that I have most enjoyed about designing sets that feature wreaths is coming up with all of the elements to build a custom wreath design with. I like how you can keep things simple or make your design as complex as you would like. There are coordinating dies so that you can die cut all of the elements, but there is something about stamping and layering up the ink to create a beautiful design, like I did for this card that I am sharing today.
The wreath base is stamped in Spring Moss ink. It's a lighter tone and so color layers over it very nicely. From there, I added the larger flower elements, then the extra greenery that is stamped in Prairie Grass, and then the tiny flower details.
I stamped the sentiment in True Black ink by combining the "happy" and "anniversary" words that are included in the set. The patterned paper at the bottom of the card is stamped with the tiny flowers in the set in Fresh Snow ink on kraft cardstock. I finished things off with some sequins, a little stitching, a lacy edge, and an Aqua Mist card base.
You can see more new products being debuted today for the December release over at Nichole's blog. From there you can link up to other members of the design team who have new things to share with you today too!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back very soon with more to share!
