winter snow globe revisited

Happy December, everyone! Can you believe that it is already this time of year? I feel like the year has just flown by so fast.

The first of the month means that it is time for the Papertrey Ink senior design team challenge. This month we are revisiting the Winter Snow Globe set that I designed.

I love this sweet, whimsical set and it was so much fun to pull it out and create a few projects that are just perfect for the holidays.

I have been very into coloring with my colored pencils lately and so I did that with the images from this set on kraft cardstock. First up is a little snow globe card that features the snowman from the set. I think my favorite thing about this card is how the snowman is colored and then I stamped the snowflake overlay over the top with Fresh Snow ink and how you can subtly see the snowflakes on the snowman.

I put the snow globe onto a Basic Cut Tag die cut from Pure Poppy cardstock and stamped with more snowflakes in Fresh Snow ink. The card base is the Noted: Scalloped Square in kraft cardstock and I used a bit of twine to attach it at the top of the card.

The sentiment on the card is on the banner die from the Tag Sale: Quilted die set. I took a tip from Kay Miller and ran just the end of the die cut banner piece back through with the banner die to shorten it to the length I needed for this project - perfect!

For this next project, I used the Basic Cut Tag die and the Window Cut Tag die together with some double sided foam and clear cardstock to make a cute little shaker tag.

The santa and tree images are colored with colored pencils and I did the same banner shortening technique for the sentiment on this project here like on the first project.

How fun are these going to be attached to gifts for the holidays?

Make sure to visit the rest of the Papertrey Ink senior design team to see the projects that they created with the Winter Snow Globe set: Betsy, Ashley, and Melissa.

The Papertrey Ink December release will be here before you know it - thank you so much for stopping by today!
