introducing family ties

Welcome everyone! Today is day 2 of the Papertrey Ink January release countdown and today I am introducing the new Family Ties set. This set is perfect for personalizing your creations for the recipients that are a part of your family tree. There are also coordinating word dies available.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on January 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

This card is a perfect one for your Mom and it could be used for Mother's Day or just to send a little love her way. On all of my cards that I am sharing today, it would be so easy to swap out any of the other family words and use the same design customized for whoever you want!

I used the new Floribunda Frame die cut and watercolored it with bright and cheery colors.

For the sentiment I used the "Mom" die cut and "I love you" stamp from the Family Ties collection on a kraft cardstock tag that I attached to the one side of the floral frame. This is a similar idea to the one I used to make the wreath tags that I shared last month and I love how it works for this card.

I did this next card in a very masculine color combination to make a birthday card for that is perfect for Dad. A few different colors and switch of the family word would make this card work for so many different recipients!

The color combination is Ocean Tides, Honey Nut (!), and Olive Twist.

I stamped the "Dad" word in True Black and then added the "happy birthday" on a banner above it. To finish off this card, I sprinkled a few wooden stars around the sentiment.

And finally, a card to send a note to your Grandma to let her know that you are thinking and praying for her. The "Grandma" word is dies cut from white cardstock and then I stamped the "praying for you" sentiment underneath it.

Around the sentiment I stamped some of the flowering branches from the Spring Woods set and then added the chickadee from Winter Woods on one of the branches. The small white flowers are flower shaped sequins that I had in my stash.

You can see more new products being debuted today for the January release over at Nichole's blog. From there you can link up to other members of the design team who have new things to share with you today too!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back very soon with more to share!
