papertrey ink throwback thursday: bowl of sunshine

Hello everyone and welcome to a Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday! Today, a few of us from the design team are revisiting the Bowl of Sunshine stamp set.

Bowl of Sunshine is such a bright and cheery set. It was so much fun to stamp up the cute bowls and bright bunches of lemons for this card and I know it is going to bring a little sunshine to a friend.

I paired the Bowl of Sunshine set with the A Second Helping of Sunshine set for this card and used the coordinating dies for both sets too. The lemons have a bit of a color blend: I inked up the stamp with Bright Buttercup and then used and ink blending tool to add Summer Sunrise to the bottom edge of the stamp. The color blend really gives the lemons a pop on the card!

I really love when I have all of the pieces stamped that I want to use for my card and then start playing around with assembling and arranging them for the card front. Sometimes a design turns out just like you expect, and other times it can turn out completely different. This one was pretty spot on for what I envisioned.

I used a notched banner in Aqua Mist cardstock to stamp the sentiment and then pattern on the bottom of the card is done using a stencil from the Lovely Lace kit and some Fresh Snow ink. I had some pretty yellow sequins in my stash that were the perfect finishing touch for this card.
