papertrey ink release: ivy & bloom + ways to say: with sympathy
May 16, 2017
The Papertrey Ink team is spreading out the rest of our release projects so you can continue to enjoy inspirations from the new products that made their debut this month.
Today, I have a couple of projects to share today that feature the new Ivy & Bloom set and my new Ways to Say: With Sympathy set. All of the new products that I am sharing are available to purchase right now at Papertrey Ink.
I pretty much fell in love with the new Ivy & Bloom set and coordinating dies this month - I used them on both of the cards that I am sharing today.
This card features a pretty lilac garland that curves around the oval opening on the white frame that I die cut for the card using a combination of a rectangle die from the Noted: Scalloped A1 dies and the oval die from the Ivy & Bloom dies. The leaves are die cut from Prairie Grass and Spring Moss cardstock and the lilac flowers are die cut from Lilac Grace cardstock and stamped with Lilac Grace ink.
The "thank you" sentiment is stamped in Fresh Snow ink and is a part of the new Keep it Simple: Thank You II stamp set.

For this card, I paired the Ivy & Bloom set and dies with my new Ways to Say: With Sympathy set.
I stamped the sentiment in black ink and then added the leaves above and below it. I stamped the stems and little tulip flowers coming out from the leaves and then added the flowers.
The flowers are die cut from Pale Peony cardstock and then stamped with Pale Peony and Berry Sorbet inks. I added a few sequins scattered through the leaves and flowers to finish off the card.
