autumn scarecrow + ways to say: thinking of you

Welcome to another day of the Papertrey Ink August release countdown! Today I have a card to share that I created with my new Autumn Scarecrow stamp set and Ways to Say: Thinking of You die.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on August 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

The Ways to Say series is a set that gives you multiple ways to express a certain sentiment. This month's set features many ways to express the sentiment “thinking of you”. The sentiments are perfect for adding to cards to let some one that they are in your thoughts. Ways to Say: Thinking of You retails for $5 and there is a coordinating die - which I used on this project - available to purchase as well.

I thought it would be fun to play around with stamping the scarecrow from my new Autumn Scarecrow stamp set onto fabric. I stamped it onto some muslin with a permanent ink and then stamped and cut out the clothing pieces from various fabrics. For an extra fun detail, when I attached everything together I added pieces of unraveled yellow twine so that it stuck out from the scarecrow's outfit. I die cut the finished image with the new Mix & Mat: Pinked Edge die.

I die cut the "thinking of you" from Cocoa Bean cardstock and added a flurry of leaves from the Autumn Scarecrow stamp set that I stamped and die cut from Terra-cotta Tile cardstock. I love this cute and rustic card - it is perfect for fall!
