papertrey ink feature: autumn scarecrow + brushed off dies

Hi everyone and welcome to the Papertrey Ink August release countdown! I have new stamp sets making their debut this month and I am excited to share about those in the next several days. Today, I am featuring my new Autumn Scarecrow stamp set and dies along with the new Brushed Off dies.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on August 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

The cute scarecrow in the Autumn Scarecrow stamp set will be perfect for sending autumn and halloween wishes and he has a bunch of pumpkin friends to help! The outline images in this set are perfect for so many different coloring techniques. Autumn Scarecrow retails for $15 and there are coordinating die available.

I did some watercolor on this first card that I have to share today. I used my inks to watercolor the image by pressing them onto an acrylic block and then using a water brush to pick up the color.

I added some watercolored lines on the shirt to make a fun plaid designs. I die cut the pumpkins with the coordinating Autumn Scarecrow dies and then attached them around the scarecrow to he looks like he is peeking out from behind them.

The sentiment is also a part of the Autumn Scarecrow stamp set and the cute patterned paper at the bottom of the card is new this month too - I am sure you will hear more about it on Nichole's blog soon!

Supplies (this list contains affiliate links):

I stamped the scarecrow on kraft cardstock for this card and then did some paper piecing to "color" his outfit. I used colored pencils to color in the details after I was done paper piecing the main parts of the image.

The hay bales on the background of the card are created with the new Brushed Off: Circle dies. I love when I can look at something like a die cut shape and make it into something else than what it was originally intended to be! I stamped the circle scribble image and some wheat sprigs onto the die cut along with a little ink blending around the edges.

How fun would be to receive this happy scarecrow in the mail?

And finally, this card is ready to send some Halloween wishes! There are some jack-o-lantern faces included in the Autumn Scarecrow set so you have the option to transform them into something perfect for Halloween!

The pumpkins were watercolored with inks on watercolor paper and then die cut. They are attached to a Brushed Off: Rectangle die cut in True Black cardstock.

I stamped the coordinating background with the pumpkin images in the Autumn Scarecrow stamp set. The cardstock is Canyon Clay and I stamped the images with Terracotta Tile for a tone on tone look. You could also stamp the images in the same color for a more subtle look.

A few stars scattered around the card finished it off!
