Hello everyone and welcome to a Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday! Today, a few of us from the design team are revisiting the Through the Trees stamp set.
Through the Trees is such a timeless and versatile set with both its images and sentiments. It works to create a card with a masculine theme to something serene to send your sympathies. I have a card today to share that would work for the winter season or even just to send someone a note of encouragement.
I stamped the images onto a piece of watercolor paper - spritzing the inked stamps with some water before stamping. That allowed the colors to flow a bit and give the images a watercolored look. I stamped the trees in Cocoa Bean and the snowflakes from the Silver White Winters set in Soft Stone.
I added the border using one of the frames from the Mix & Mat: Postal die collection and then added the sentiment within that. I wish you could see the crystal glitter that I added throughout the tree tops - that is just so hard to photograph and it's so pretty!
