papertrey ink march release - big apple + school days + great teachers + butterfly blooms

Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink March release countdown. Today, I am sharing projects with you this use my new products that are making their debut this month: the Big Apple die collection, School Days, Great Teachers, and the Butterfly Blooms collection.

All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on March 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.

All of my new school themed sets and dies work really well together and you are going to love the possibilities of what you can do with them. First up, I created a set of tags (you all know how I love tags!) for my girls for this year in school that I will slip into their school scrapbooks.

The Big Apple die works well for a tag base and is sized to work well on the front of a card as well. I die cut the Ink It Ink: Notebook die from True Black paper and then embossed my girls' names (using the new Penned Elegance Alphabet set) and the "grade" word (from the new School Days set) with white embossing powder. There are a few other elements stamped in Fresh Snow ink and I also smudged a little more ink for a more chalkboard like effect. The numbers are from the School Days set and I stamped them with Pure Poppy ink and punched them out with a 1/2" circle punch.

The cute apple and pencil on the tags are stamped with the School Days set. I punched a hole and added an eyelet to thread some Pure Poppy baker's twine though to finish the tags off.

One of the options with the Big Apple die collection is a die that cuts the half circle slits to hold a gift card. I made a gift card holder with the Big Apple Die here that I die cut from True Black cardstock and then stamped with the handwriting lines from the School Days set.

I added a tag to the top of the apple that has a sentiment stamped on it from the new Great Teachers set. The Great Teachers set includes a number of sentiments that are perfect for expressing your gratitude for the  great teachers in yours and you students lives.

Finally, here is a card that is created with my new Butterfly Blooms and A Bit More: Butterfly Blooms stamp sets. Butterfly Blooms includes the large butterfly image along with lots of flower blooms that have a variety of centers that you can stamp on them.

When I designed this set, this card was definitely an idea in my head and it was so much fun to actually make it! I stamped flowers all down the side a piece of watercolor paper. Some of the flowers are spritzed with water before I stamped them on the paper for a softer watercolor look.

The smallest flowers that are stamped in Scarlet Jewel ink are a part of the A Bit More: Butterfly Blooms set. That set includes a few larger sized sentiments, a smaller butterfly image, and some smaller flower images.

I stamped the butterfly on watercolor paper and then added color onto the wings with ink that I applied with a water brush. It is die cut out with the coordinating die and then I popped it up just a bit from the card front with some foam squares.
