papertrey ink march release - bold borders: diagonal + sentiment staples: thank you + stitch in time borders + kindness counts

Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink March release countdown. Today, I have a couple projects to share that feature new products that are making their debut for the March release: Bold Borders: Diagonal die + Sentiment Staples: Thank You stamp set + Stitch in Time Borders stamp set & dies + Kindness Counts stamp set.

All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on March 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.

This first card uses the Bold Borders: Diagonal die. I was playing around with how I wanted to layout my card design and realized that if I flipped a second frame die cut upside down and layered it behind the first it would make a pretty lattice design. I added a leafy garland around the frame using the Garden Garland die cut from Olive Twist cardstock.

The butterfly in the middle of the frame is from my new Butterfly Blooms set. I embossed it with clear embossing powder onto some watercolor paper and then added color to the wings with Hawaiian Shores, Enchanted Evening, and Dark Indigo inks. I added some blooms from the Butterfly Blooms collection around the leafy garland die cut from Dark Indigo and Aqua Mist cardstock. The sentiment on the banner die cut is from the new Sentiment Staples: Thank You stamp set and is stamped with Cocoa Bean ink.

This next card features a pretty sentiment from the new Kindness Counts stamp set. I think you can't have enough sentiments to express kindness in your stamp collection! I stamped the main part of the sentiment in black ink and then stamped the heart with Pure Poppy ink shaded with Scarlet Jewel ink.

I framed the sentiment with the new Stitch in Time Borders stamp set. I stamped the frame with Fresh Snow ink and then die cut it out with the coordinating die. I added a few more rows of stamped embroidery under the sentiment. The stamp were longer than they space I wanted to stamp them in and so I masked off the part of the stamp I didn't need with some washi tape while I inked it up. I pulled the tape off the stamp before stamping it for my project to get the perfect length of the embroidery design.

The background of this card is stamped with the new Stitching Garden stamp set that you will hear more about later in the release countdown. I also added some seam binding ribbon at the bottom of the card front. I put down a line of Scor-tape, stuck the ribbon down in the pleated design, and then stitched it down with my sewing machine.
