Exciting news! Papertrey Ink is getting a new color for the April release and we couldn't be more thrilled! It is a beautiful medium gray and today the design team is sharing projects created with this great new color. Papertrey Ink is also asking you to help us name our new color and you can get all the details on that over at the Papertrey Ink blog.
Here's the color recipe using the new gray color that I used in the project that I am sharing today.
This new gray works so well with the other colors in the Papertrey Ink collection. I used the new gray as the background on my card project that also features the Fresh Bouquet stamp set.
I die cut and stamped the main image from the Fresh Bouquet set on white cardstock and die cut it with the coordinating die. The largest flower in the bouquet is stamped with Pure Poppy & Scarlet Jewel ink, the smaller flowers are stamped with Berry Sorbet & Pure Poppy inks, the berries are stamped with Honey Nut & Canyon Clay inks, and the leaves are stamped with Prairie Grass & Olive Twist inks.
The background of is stamped with the main image bouquet outline image with Fresh Snow ink and the die cut piece is popped up just a bit from the background with some foam squares. I stamped the "love you" sentiment from the Fresh Bouquet set with True Black ink and added a few rainstones around the main flower image.
I can't wait to work with this new gray color more and try even more color combinations with it!
