papertrey ink july release - ombre sentiments: thinking of you + pierced feature frames

Ombresentiments-1-hnichols

Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown. Today I have a project to share that I created with the new Ombre Sentiments: Thinking of You stamp set and Pierced Feature Frames die collection.

You can find all of the details about these new products HERE.

All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on July 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.

Ombresentiments-2-hnichols

I combined the sentiment from the Ombre Sentiments: Thinking of You stamp set with the "smile" die cut from the new Bold Borders: Prism die collection. I masked off the "smile" on the stamp with some tape when I inked up the stamp and then take off the tape before you stamp it on your project. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink onto a piece of watercolor paper and then embossed it with some clear embossing powder.

I added color around the embossed sentiment with Raspberry Fizz and Berry Sorbet inks and then stamped several flower bunches from the Brushed Blooms stamp set around the sentiment. The areas that are embossed, resist the dye based inks.

I framed the sentiment with a frame from the new Pierced Feature Frames die collection. I die cut the frame from a piece of Linen Vellum cardstock so the flowers underneath would show through a bit. The "smile" is 2 layers die cut from Kraft cardstock. I added that under the embossed words to complete the sentiment.
