Orchidexpressions-1-hnichols

Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown. Today I have a card to share created with the new Orchid Expressions stamp set and Words to Live By: Inspire stamp set and another card created with the Botanical Bounty Sentiment stamp set and Scallop Stackers die.

You can find all of the details about these new products HERE.

All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on July 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.

Orchidexpressions-2-hnichols

How gorgeous is this new orchid set? I wanted to make my orchids with a bit of white in them and so I stamped them onto a piece of kraft cardstock. My base layer for the flowers is Fresh Snow ink, followed by Autumn Rose ink, and the final layer in Scarlet Jewel ink. I added the leaves with Prairie Grass and Olive Twist inks and then the bamboo stakes with Fine Linen and Classic Kraft inks.

I used a bit of Rustic Jute button twine to "attach" the orchids to the bamboo stakes. The sentiment is from the new Words to Live By: Inspire stamp set. I stamped the "inspire" word in Fresh Snow ink and then added the "you" and "me" in black ink to to complete the sentiment.

I had to use the Orchid Expressions set again on this next card - the set is just so pretty and fun to use. This time I paired with a sentiment from the new Botanical Bounty Sentiments stamp set. I stamped the sentiment first in Versamark ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I stamped the orchid image next to the embossed sentiment and the inked some Honey Nut ink around the embossed sentiment to help it stand out.

I die cut my whole stamped image out with one of the new Scallop Stackers dies in the medium size and then layered that onto a kraft cardstock  card base. A bit of twine tied around the bottom of the card finishes it off.
