Simplygourdeous-hnichols

Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink August release countdown. Today, I have projects to share with you that are created with the new Simply Gourd-eous stamp set & dies and the new Say it Simply: Giving Thanks For You die.

You can find all of the details about these new products HERE.

All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on August 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.

How beautiful are these stamped gourds? The Simply Gourd-eous set has multi-step images that help you create beautifully colored and shaded images with just a few impressions. I stamped an all over pattern of gourds onto a piece of kraft cardstock. Isn't it just perfect for fall?

The sentiment is created with the new Say it Simply: Giving Thanks For You die. What a pretty die - both the font and the actual sentiment. I die cut the sentiment right into the stamped cardstock and also from a piece of white cardstock. Then, I inset the white die cut sentiment into the opening on the stamped cardstock.

For a finishing touch on this card, I used an edge of a Scallop Stackers: Small die cut from Honey Nut cardstock for a border one the bottom edge of the card front.

For this next card, I stamped the gourds on kraft cardstock once again and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I love stamping on kraft cardstock in general, but I just really love the rustic look it gives that is perfect for the fall season.

I layered a Kraft cardstock frame that I die cut using a Pierced Feature Frames die onto a piece Honey Nut cardstock that is die cut with the new Scallop Stackers: Small dies. I added the gourds in a line across the bottom of the frame and stamped the Thanksgiving sentiment from the new Sentiment Staples: Thanksgiving stamp set in Fresh Snow ink. The finishing touch on this card is a few spatters of Fresh Snow and Cocoa Bean inks.

I created a fall wreath for this final card by pairing the Simply Gourd-eous stamp set with the Twig Wreath stamp set. I stamped the wreath several times with Cocoa Bean ink and added a few sprigs and leaves around the wreath to peek out from behind the gourds that I arranged at the bottom of the wreath.

For the sentiment I took the Say it Simply: Giving Thanks For You die and cut it from kraft cardstock twice. Then I just used the "for you" portion of the sentiment and layered it up to make it a bit thicker and adhered it into the center of the wreath.
