It's Throwback Thursday at Papertrey Ink and today we are visiting the Ombre Builders stamp set.
Ombre Builders is definitely a set I need to reach for more often. There are so many elements that you can use to not only build an ombre or gradient background, but to create so many possibilities for background patterns. I played around with color and layering for the project that I am sharing today and created a background that looks like a woven fabric!
To create the background piece, I stamped the ombre image from the Ombre Builders stamp set in a color progression of: Cocoa Bean, Americana, Canyon Clay, Honey Nut, and Classic Kraft. Then I stamped the horizontal lines images over the color transitions with Fresh Snow ink. The result is a background that looks like a woven fabric and reminded me of a cozy fall blanket or rug.
I added a flurry of fall leaves that I stamped with the Forest Floor: Autumn stamp set and die cut out with the coordinating dies. The sentiment is from the Give Thanks stamp set and I added a few gold sequins for a finishing touch.
