papertrey ink september release - make it market mini kit: poinsettia & pine

Poinsettia&pinekit-hnichols

Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink September release countdown. Today I have several projects to share that I created with the new Make it Market Mini Kit: Poinsettia & Pine.

You can find all of the details about these new products HERE.

All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on September 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.

One of the greatest things about this mini kit is how you can keep things as simple as you want or create projects with intricate details. I wanted to share projects that show some of the different options that you have.

The kit includes lots of printed papers and you can turn to these papers to create some quick and easy projects. I grabbed all of the printed tags and started die cutting a pile of them. I have a box of tags I started to add to as the holiday season approaches. Then, when it's time to wrap, I can just grab the box and have tags ready to go to adorn the gifts.

You can leave the tags as is, or add a little bit to give them a more polished look. I added some silver eyelets into the holes on the tags and threaded them with some twine.

Next, I created layered tags using the printed papers and used them on a card. The pine branch background paper is another printed paper that is included in the kit.

I used the detail dies in the kit to die cut the different layers in the tags. Each image (trees, poinsettia, pine branches) has a set of two dies that can layer together or you can use just one of the dies depending on the look you are going for.

For the sentiment on the card, I used the Words to Live By: Joyful die cut with Pure Poppy cardstock and then stamped the "be" word with black ink (the only actual stamping on this card!)

To accentuate the layering on the tags, I popped the tags up on the card base with some foam squares. I added some twine on the tops of the tags and some glitter on the tag images for a bit of sparkle to finish the card off.

Finally, I used the stamps in the kit to create a card. You can stamp all of the images that are in the printed papers. I used the pine branch image for this project and stamped them on Kraft cardstock with Prairie Grass, Ripe Avocado, Olive Twist, and Cocoa Bean inks. I didn't use the coordinating image dies, but they will work with the stamped images like they do with the images on the printed papers.

I used the stitched border die to create frames on the white cardstock to set the stamped pieces into. On one of the stamped pieces, I stamped and embossed the sentiment over the image with white embossing powder.

I added the finished stamped piece to a Prairie Grass card base and then added some fine and chunky crystal glitters to the pine branches for a bit of sparkle.
