papertrey ink september release - winter fox + text & texture: wood slices + sending you comfort

Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink September release countdown. I have a project to share that is created with my new Winter Fox stamp set and dies and the new Text & Texture: Wood Slices stamp set. I also have another project to share using the new Sending You Comfort stamp set and Hinged Gift Box: Christmas Windows dies.

This sweet winter fox is ready to play in the snow and will be an adorable addition to your holiday projects. I set the fox for this project in a forest of trees in the snow.  Many of the images in the set are multiple step images so that creating multicolored images is quick and easy. I added the sentiment underneath the scene that is also from the Winter Fox stamp set.

The border along the bottom of the card is created with the new Text & Texture: Wood Slices stamp set. The image is big enough for a background, but I trimmed off a strip to use as a border on the bottom of this card. It's perfect and adds to the rustic look and feel of the finished project.

I created the background for this card using the new Sending You Comfort stamp set. I embossed the large leaf branch multiple times with clear embossing powder onto a piece of watercolor paper.

Used a water brush and inks to watercolor in and around the branches and then stamped berry images around the leaves with Honey Nut ink. This background could work for many different card themes, not just for the holidays like this card is for.

The sentiment is die cut with the new Hinged Gift Card Box: Christmas Windows dies. I used Tag Sale #10 and die cut the window from that. It is attached to the card and I also added and eyelet and some twine through the hole in the tag.
