papertrey ink october release - pleasing envelopes + fawn & flora
October 10, 2018
Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink October release countdown. Today, I have several projects to share that I created using the new Pleasing Envelopes stamp set and Fawn & Flora collection.
You can find all of the details about these new products HERE.
All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on October 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.
Pleasing Envelopes is a beautiful new stamp set with the elements to build floral designs perfect for the upcoming holidays. It also features sentiments, lines, and watercolor image elements perfect for adding to an envelope to dress it up. You can go all out decorating your envelope like I did here.
This envelope is made with watercolor paper, I stamped the poinsettias, leaves, pine branches, and other details around the area where the address would go. To achieve an authentic watercolor look, I spritzed my inked stamps with some water before stamping them onto the watercolor paper. This let the color flow a little more freely on the paper. Then I added the watercolor image with some Honey Nut ink and added the lines and sentiment with black ink over the top.
I used the same floral elements to create a floral border around the edges of another piece of watercolor paper and added a sentiment from the Penned Elegance: Christmas stamp set into the center. I die cut the stamped piece with the Scallop Stackers: Medium die and also added an oval frame impression with a Shape Shifters: Oval 2 die. I added a bit of twine and attached the stamped piece to a Kraft card base.

Next, is a card I created with the new Fawn & Flora stamp set and coordinating dies. Isn't this little fawn just the cutest?
I stamped the fawn with Honey Nut, Cocoa Bean, and True Black inks and then tucked it into a Pierced Feature Frames: Oval that I die cut from Olive Twist cardstock. I dressed the fawn up with the Christmas themed floral spray that is a part of the Fawn & Flora stamp set.
The sentiments in the set are just as adorable as the fawn! I stamped the "thinking fawndly of you" sentiment paired with the "at Christmas time" sentiment. You could use the main part of the sentiment to create a card to use any time of the year.
I added a strip of cardstock to the edge of the card that I had stamped with the Text & Texture: Wood Slices stamp set and that was the perfect touch for the woodland feel of this card.

For this last project, I used the Fawn & Flora and Pleasing Envelopes sets together to create a sweet card to welcome a new baby.
I stamped the pine branches and some leaves from the Pleasing Envelopes set along with a leaf sprig and the rose from the Fawn & Flora set to make a wreath shape on my card base. I added the fawn into the center of the wreath and added the rose spray for the fawn to wear on its head. the sentiment is from the Baby Mine stamp set and is stamped onto a banner die cut and then I sprinkled some yellow flower sequins around the wreath for a finishing touch.
I stamped the "special delivery for:" sentiment onto a Pale Peony envelope that I made and added just a few floral touches to each end of the sentiment using elements from both sets. How pretty and sweet will this card be to deliver to welcome a new baby?
