Welcome to day 3 of the Taylored Expressions February release sneak peeks. Today I have a few projects to share today using new products making their debut this month. The first card uses the new Scandinavian Spring Background along with the new Folk Art Spring dies and Folk Art Phrases stamp set. The second project uses the new Can't Touch This stamp set & dies with the new Skinny Mini Fiesta Borders dies.
All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on February 7th, 9AM CT at Taylored Expressions.
The images on this card are right up my alley with the rustic, nordic style! The background is stamped with Sugar Cube ink onto Toffee cardstock using the new Scandinavian Spring Background stamp. Coming from a Scandinavian heritage, so many images are familiar to me - especially the Swedish Dala horse. My grandmother used to paint them and we had one on our house growing up.
The stamped background is die cut with a Petite Scallop Rectangle die. I added the sentiment from Folk Art Phrases stamped with Oreo ink and the cute birds die cut using the new Folk Art Spring dies from Confetti Cake and Cookie Monster cardstock. I repeated the cardstock colors with the Cookie Monster mat under the stamped background and Confetti Cake card base. I really am in love with these blue colors and love the bright and cheery feel they give this card!
This second card takes us from the nordic to the desert with the new Can't Touch This stamp set and coordinating dies! Aren't the cacti just way too cute? The stamp set includes all of the textures for each cactus shape in the die collection and then there are those cute faces that you can (or not) add to the cacti.
I added the die cut sombrero to the tallest cactus along with some pink flower blooms. And how cute is that sentiment? There are several fun sentiment options in the set!
The bright colored banners are created with one of the new Skinny Mini Fiesta Borders dies. I die cut the banners from Fruit Punch, Pineapple, and Cookie Monster cardstocks that I had covered with the Stick-it Adhesive. I left the adhesive paper on the cardstock before I die cut it and then removed it after I die cut it to adhere the glitter to the die cut shape. Doing that makes applying glitter to a project easy and less messy than using a glue pen or spray.
