Hey, everyone! Last week for the June release, my new Craftiness is Happiness stamp set made its debut (did you see that this is a CLEAR set?) and one of the projects I shared featured a fun background created with that set using the emboss resist and ink blending techniques. I created another card that features that same background and through I would share how to create it in a video! This card and video are also featured over on the Taylored Expressions blog today.
Emboss resist is one of my very favorite techniques and I shared a few tips in the video: Stamp your main sentiment first and then layer the clear embossing and inks over it, overlap your color blends to create new colors, and use a paper towel to clean up your embossed images once you are finished applying color over them.
After embossing and adding the color blends, I stamped the splatters, scribbles, and brush strokes with Sugar Cube ink. I stamped the tiny typed sentiments onto the background with Oreo ink and added even more ink splatters using liquid watercolor and a water brush.
Doing all of these crafty techniques on a crafty themed card was so much fun and I can't wait to share it with one of my crafty friends!
Thank you so much for joining me today! I will be back soon with more crafty inspiration to share!
