Hi, everyone, and welcome to the first day of sneak peeks for the August release at Taylored Expressions! I have projects to share with you today that are created a whole lot of new products that are making their debut this month - including my new Layer It - Rustic Floral die collection.
All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on August 8th, 9AM CT at Taylored Expressions.
My new Layer It - Rustic Floral die collection includes 2 sizes of a rustic style flower along with 2 different sizes of leaves. This is my first layered flower die collection and I am excited about how it turned out! To create the card here, I colored watercolor cardstock with liquid watercolor in different shades to create my own custom papers to die cut the flower elements from.
The watercolor cardstock that I die cut the flowers from were colored with Guava liquid watercolor and the watercolor cardstock for the leaves is colored with Peapod liquid watercolor. I added lots of splotches and splashes with my brush onto the flowers and leaves too!
I added the assembled flowers onto a card and tag that are stamped with the new Shiplap Background stamp. I love the rustic style of the background and know it will be something that I will reach for again and again! The sentiment on the card is stamped with the new Handlettered Alpha stamp set. I stamped the "love" with the script letters in the set and the "you" with the smaller uppercase letters. The clear stamp set is so quick and easy to line up and stamp!
This next card is stamped with the new Fresh Picked Florals stamp set. This set is also clear, making it very easy to line up the multi-layer flower images. I stamped my flowers in a bit of an autumn themed color scheme onto Toffee cardstock. You might notice a few new colors mixed in on my project as well! I am really excited about the new Avocado and Honey colors that are making their debut this month. They are just perfect for fall themed projects and I can see myself using them quite a bit!
The "thinking of you" sentiment on the card is from the new Handlettered Sentiments stamp set. I stamped it with Sugar Cube ink, nestling it right into the opening I left when I stamped my flower arrangement on the card. A few sequins scattered around the sentiment finished off this card.
