Watch the video below to see how I created the card above:
In the video, I share some tips for creating a fun and colorful background using the birthday images from the Birthday Basics stamp set.
I also added some extra sparkle and texture to my card using the Confetti Toss stencil and Moonstone Glimmer Paste. Once my background was complete, I added sentiments using the new Simple Strips - Birthday stamp and coordinating Simple Strips die. I stamped the sentiments with Sugar Cube ink on coordinating colors of cardstock and then added the strips onto contrasting colors so that they would pop on my card. This card is ready to deliver to celebrate a birthday!
To create this card, I stamped the birthday images from the Birthday Basics stamp set with Versamark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder on watercolor cardstock. I added color around the embossed images with Guava, Cookie Monster, Lime Zest, and Pineapple liquid watercolors. Where the images are embossed it resists the color.
I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment using Sugar Cube ink onto a piece of Toffee cardstock that I die cut with a Stitched Banner Stacklets die. This card design is one where you could change out colors so easily to customize it for the recipient!
And finally, I have a card to share that I created with the new Gifted Background and coordinating Gifted stencil. I stamped the Gifted Background stamp with Oreo ink and then added color using my Blender Brushes and Guava, Cookie Monster, Lime Zest, and Pineapple inks through the Gifted stencil. It was so quick and easy to create a rainbow of presents this way!
I used a glue pen to add some glittered details to the presents and then added sentiments to the card using the Simple Strips - Birthday stamp. I embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder on Toffee cardstock and I love how doing a neutral tone like that works perfectly on so many projects! I die cut the sentiments with the Simple Strips die and now have lots of birthday sentiment to pick through when I need one for a project.
