Hi, everyone, and welcome to the first day of sneak peeks for the October release at Taylored Expressions! It's definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I always love crafting for this time of year. Today, I have a few projects to share using the new Backstory - Christmas Background stamp, Jolly Holiday Background stamp set, Handlettered Holiday 2 stamp set + coordinating dies, and more!

All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on October 3rd, 9AM CT at Taylored Expressions.

First up is this card and tag pair that are created with the new Backstory - Christmas Background stamp. I embossed the design with clear embossing powder onto watercolor cardstock and then painted over it with some gold watercolor paint. Wherever the embossing is, it resists the paint and the shimmery result is so pretty! I die cut the center of the cardstock to create a frame for my card with the new Inside Bracket Stacklets dies.

I added the sentiment from the new Handlettered Holiday 2 set into the frame opening and then used the leftover piece to create a coordinating tag. The sentiment on the tag is die cut with the coordinating die and I accented both the tag and card with some pine sprigs that I die cut with the new Pine Clippings die in the new Olive cardstock (I just love this color!) I added some more sparkle to the pine sprigs with some glitter and a few sequins.

This next project features the new Jolly Holiday Background stamp set I used the main background stamp and embossed it with white embossing powder onto watercolor cardstock. I added color using Cherry Pop, Peapod, and Toffee liquid watercolors.

Using background stamps for your Christmas card projects is perfect for when you are mass producing cards! You get a full background with one impression and you can keep things pretty simple or step it up like I am doing here with some embossing and watercolor.

Once the background was finished, I added a sentiment from the new Handlettered Holiday 2 stamp set that is embossed in white on the new Watermelon cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die. The sentiment is layered onto a piece of vellum that is die cut with the new Inside Bracket Stacklets dies and then I added bit of holly that is die cut with the previously released Little Bits - Holiday Bloomers dies.
