Hi everyone! I am back for another day of inspiration to share using products from the January release at Taylored Expressions. Today I have a pile of Valentines to share that are created with my new Follow Your Heart Background stamp, Follow Your Heart Sentiments stamp set, and Shot Through the Heart die collection.
All of the new products I am sharing are available to purchase right now at Taylored Expressions!
The Follow Your Heart Background stamp works wonderfully for either a portrait or landscape orientation of your A2 card front. I used a similar card design and created this pair of Valentines to show you how the background looks in both orientations.
Watch the video below to see how the Valentines are created:
I started off with backgrounds that I stamped with Sugar Cube ink onto Toffee yardstick using the Shiplap Background stamp. Let the ink completely dry before you do any of the embossing over the top. I embossed the Follow Your Heart Background using gold embossing powder over the top of the Shiplap Background.
The smaller heart in the new Masking Stencils - Hearts collection fits perfectly right inside the Follow Your Heart Background stamp image. I added the heart with Cherry Pop ink and then added the sentiments from the Follow Your Heart Sentiments stamp set using Oreo ink. The Follow Your Heart Sentiments stamp set is a clear set that includes larger arrow words and phrases as well as smaller words and phrases that you can combine together to create your own custom sentiments for your projects.
For this Valentine card, I created a background using the main arrow words from the Follow Your Heart Sentiments stamp set. I stamped the words in Sugar Cube ink onto Toffee Cardstock and then added the heart images using Pink Champagne and Sugar Cube ink.
For the focal point of the card, I layered two hearts that I die cut using the Heart Stacklets die collection from Pink Champagne and Guava cardstock. I added the 'hello' arrow word that I die cut using the Shot Through the Heart die collection. The word is die cut three times and then stacked together so it will pop up a bit on the card. To complete my sentiment I added the 'valentine' word stamped with Oreo ink underneath the 'hello' word.
Thank you so much for joining me today. Make sure you stop by the Taylored Expressions blog to see more and link up the the TE Creative Teams blog posts for today. I will be back tomorrow with more to share for the Taylored Expressions January release!
