taylored expressions - new father's day & pet themed products!

Hi, everyone! There's a new Father's Day and pet product release this week at Taylored Expressions and I have a few projects to share with you today.

All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on May 19th (tomorrow!), 9AM CT at Taylored Expressions.

First up is a Father's Day card that I created with the new Plaid Layered Stencil set I stenciled the plaid onto Blue Corn, Olive, and Honey cardstock using the matching ink and Sugar Cube ink. I die cut squares from all of the paid designs using a Stitched Square Stacklets die and pieced the squares together on a card front. It looks like a madras plaid that would be a perfect for a shirt or pair shorts, doesn't it?

The 'Happy Father's Day' sentiment is from the new the Inside Scoop - For Him stamp set. The set has sentiments to celebrate the men in our lives that are perfect for both the inside and front of your card projects. The 'Happy Father's Day' sentiment is on a Double-Ended Flag Stacklets die and I added the 'Dad' underneath that is stamped with the new Building Blocks - Him stamp that is cut out with the coordinating Building Blocks die. I added a few wooden stars to finish off the card.

I used the new Puppy Love Layered Stencil set to create the cute paw print and heart background on this project. I stenciled the design onto Toffee cardstock with Toffee and Sugar Cube inks. I die cut a heart out of the background and added the 'dogs leave paw prints on our hearts' sentiment in the opening onto the Toffee card base.

The cute puppy is from the new Swinging By stamp set. I stamped the puppy with Sea Salt ink and added color with my Karin Brushmarkers and a paintbrush for a no-line coloring look. I added a few details with a dark brown colored pencil after I painted the main part of the image.

The sentiment is from the new Simple Strips - Woof stamp that I embossed in white onto Oreo cardstock. I die cut the sentiment using the new coordinating Simple Strips - Well Rounded die that has a rounded end instead of the notched end that the original Simple Strips die has. With the Simple Strips collections, you stamp 18 sentiments at one time and then the coordinating dies cut out all of the sentiments with one pass through your die cut machine. I love having extra sentiments ready to go for projects!

Finally, here is a set of birthday cards that I created with the new Gus & Gertie stamp set. I love this new dog and bird duo! I stamped and colored the birthday image from the set using Oreo ink on Sugar Cube cardstock and then colored the images with colored pencils.

The background on the cards is stamped with the same birthday image with Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock. Stamping with Sugar Cube ink on white cardstock is a goto for me when creating custom patterned papers and backgrounds for projects. Using this combination goes with just about anything!

I popped up the main image with foam squares and added the sentiment stamped underneath with Oreo ink. I added a few white rhinestones around the image for a finishing touch!

This card will be a featured on the Taylored Expressions blog on Thursday along with a video that takes you through the process I did to create this card set. Make sure to plan to stop by and check it out!
