The kit retails for $75 and includes:
- Rainbow Masking Stencil - (includes alignment guides to center the rainbow BOTH vertically & horizontally)
- 4x6 Over the Rainbow Sentiments (Clearly Crafty) stamp set
- 4x8 Over the Rainbow (Clearly Crafty) stamp set
- Over the Rainbow Die
- Rainbow Cloud Duo Dies
- 6 Custom Envelope Seals
- 6 Colored Envelopes
My first project is created with the masking stencils and stamp sets that are included in the kit. I stenciled the rainbows on Toffee cardstock (surprise!) using Cherry Pop, Lemon Meringue, Peapod, and Cookie Monster inks. Don't be afraid to try blending on different cardstock colors other than white. You might be pleasantly surprised at the results! I stamped a few of the rainbow patterns over the top of the stenciled rainbows and added a heart with Sugar Cube ink.
The sentiments included with the kit are curved to perfectly fit over the top of the rainbows. I stamped a different sentiment on each of my cards using Oreo ink. I added some sparkle to my cards by adding a few Snow Flurries sequins to the Lemon Meringue rainbow arcs.
Did you notice the adorably cute envelopes and seals that are a part of the kit? I am thinking I might need a few more of those rainbow seals for sure! (I hope we can buy more!)
This next project that I created with the Somewhere Over the Rainbow Kit is perfect for mass production. The rainbow die is one piece and so to get the colors you need with different colors of cardstock, you have to run the die through your machine multiple times. By rearranging the colors in the rainbow, you can easily create four cards. If you use just half of the rainbow on your project then you can easily create eight cards!
Stop by the Taylored Expressions blog this Thursday when this project will be featured along with a video to show you exactly how I mass produced this card design!
Along with the rainbow die, I used the cloud die from the kit with the pierced edge detail for the cloud at the end of the rainbow and again in the sky.
I coordinated the colors on this project to match the envelope and seal colors. I used: Cherry Pop, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, and Lime Zest cardstock colors for the rainbow. The blue piece die cut with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets is Salt Water Taffy cardstock.
There's a little bit of stamping on this project. I stamped the sentiment in Oreo ink at the end of the rainbow, that cute smiley face onto the cloud, and there are hearts stamped onto the Salt Water Taffy background with Sugar Cube ink.
I can't wait to send these rainbows out to spread joy to my friends!
