Hi, everyone! There's a new product release this week at Taylored Expressions. This release is perfect for all of the cat lovers out there! I had a great time creating with the new cat themed products and have quite a few projects to share with you.
All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on June 16th (tomorrow!), 9AM CT at Taylored Expressions.
First up is a pile of projects with the new Max & Millie stamp set. This cat (Max) and mouse (Millie) duo are the cutest and there are so many cute images in the set to create with for different occasions. I used the image of Max and Millie with a pile of presents and a balloon to create shakers cards and coordinating tags to celebrate birthdays. I colored the images with my Copics and colored pencils, using Gamsol to blend the colored pencil. The images are cut out with the coordinating Max & Millie dies. The background on the card and tags are created with the Confetti Toss stencil, Sugar Cube ink, Cookie Monster ink, and Cookie Monster cardstock.
I added a shaker element to the cards using the Foam Sticky Strips from TE. These strips make creating shaker cards so easy! I literally attached the image to the background, put a pile of Bits & Pieces - Sparkly Stars on the image, and added the framed window over the top. The Foam Sticky Strips are attached right underneath the circle Toffee cardstock frame before you attach it to the card front.
For the tags, I cut out the tag base using a Tag Stacklets 2 die and then popped up the colored images using some foam squares. The sentiments on the cards and tags are also a part of the Max & Millie stamp set and are stamped with Oreo ink.
I am always working on adding to my birthday card stash and these cards are the perfect addition! I look forward to coloring and creating with more of the images from this cute set!
Next up is a few projects that I created with the new Whiskers stamp set, Silhouettes - Cats die collection, and Simple Strips - Meow stamp.
This card is perfect for celebrating all things cat! I am sure you might know a few people who would love receiving a card like this. I used the Silhouettes - Cats die collection to create a stencil for the background on this card. I used my Blender Brushes to add color to the cats in Poppy Seed, Honey, and Toffee inks. I added paw prints from the Whiskers stamp set with Sugar Cube ink and did some masking over the stenciled cats so that the paw prints look like they are going behind the cats.
The sentiments are from the new Simple Strips - Meow stamp. I stamped and embossed the sentiments in white on Honey and Poppy Seed cardstock and stamped the sentiments in Oreo ink on Sugar Cube cardstock. I cut out all of the sentiments using the coordinating Simple Strips die. The sentiment strips are popped up on the card with foam squares that I trimmed in half.
Stop by the Taylored Expressions blog tomorrow to see this card featured and a video that shares how I created this card from start to finish!
I was inspired to create a pocket scrapbook layout of my cats using the new cat products! I have three cats - Lily, Nina, and Hazel. This scrapbook is for 3" x 8" layouts and I did one 3" x 8" layout along with a few 3" x 4" journal cards.
The title card on the top left uses the same stencil as I used on the card on Sugar Cube cardstock and then I added the paw prints with Toffee ink without masking the stenciled cats and one of the sentiments from the Whiskers stamp set stamped in Oreo ink.
The journal card on the lower left is stenciled with the Puppy Love Layered stencil (this stencil is perfect for cat projects too!) using Honey and Sugar Cube inks on Honey cardstock. I added a Instax photo of my cat Lily on this card and added a sentiment from the Simple Strips - Meow stamp and one of the cat die cuts from the Silhouettes - Cats die collection.
On the 3" x 8" layout on the right I stamped the paw prints from the Whiskers stamp set in Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock. I added the photos of my other two cats, Nina and Hazel, along with a few more sentiments from the Simple Strips - Meow stamp and a few more cat die cuts. I also added names to each of the photos that I typed with my typewriter on Toffee cardstock. The tab at the top of the page has a single paw print that I stenciled using the Puppy Love Layered stencil.
