First up is card I created using the chicken from the Farm Fresh Critters stamp set. May parents have chickens and I colored several chickens to match the breeds that they have (Rhode Island Red, Cochin, and Buff Orpington.) I added the chickens to a background that I stenciled using the Set the Scene - Grass stencil strips from the kit, Avocado ink, and my Blender Brushes. Because the critter bodies are separate from the heads, you can add wobble springs like I did on my projects to make the heads bobble around. So fun!
The strip at the bottom is stamped using the Gingham Check Background stamp using Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock. I love the gingham look on this new background stamp and how it looks like actual fabric when you stamp it! I have a feeling this is a background stamp I will use on many projects in the future!
I created a set of tags using all of the farm critters from the Farm Fresh Kit. I stamped the barn and critters with Oreo ink on Sugar Cube cardstock and then colored them with Copic markers and colored pencils blended with Gamsol. There is not a die for the barn, so I fussy cut those out with scissors and used the coordinating die to cut out the farm critters.
Stop by the TE Blog this Thursday to see these tags featured along with a video on how I created them!
The tag bases are die cut using a Stitched Banner Stacklets die from Toffee cardstock that I had stamped with the Gingham Check Background stamp using Sugar Cube ink. I stamped sentiments from the Farm Fresh stamp set to coordinate with each of the farm critters on the tags - aren't they the cutest? The barn is attached directly to the tag and I added the critter body with a foam square to pop it up and the head using a wobble spring. I had some gingham ribbon in my crafty stash and used that to add the ties at the tops of the tags.
