Hey, everyone! There's a new release happening over at Taylored Expressions featuring rainbow themed products and I have a few projects to share created with them. Some of the new products are from the Somewhere Over the Rainbow Kit that sold out a few months ago - the kit isn't available anymore, but you can buy stamps, dies, and the stencil set from the kit individually now! Along with those products are three new products that are being introduced today.
All of the new products that I am sharing today are available to purchase RIGHT NOW at Taylored Expressions.
This first card featured the new Brighter Skies stamp set and coordinating dies. The stamp set has 4 cute images perfect for rainy days and rainbows plus great coordinating sentiments. I stamped the cloud image from the set, colored it with Copic markers, and added to the end of a rainbow that I stenciled with the Masking Stencils - Make a Rainbow set. I used my Blender Brushes and did just half of a 3 arc rainbow on my project.
I stamped the sentiment in Oreo ink next to the colored cloud image and then added die cut clouds popped up with foam squares all around the card design. The pierced edge detail die is from the Rainbow Cloud Duo die collection.
This project is created with the Over the Rainbow die, Rainbow Cloud Duo die collection, and the new Building Blocks - Be Bright stamp. I added red, silver, and the exclusive TE Rainbow Bright Deco Foil to the die cut pieces using Stick-It double sided adhesive. I added Stick-It to a piece of cardstock, die cut the rainbow and clouds, peeled off the paper backing, and applied the foil to the die cuts. Foiling this way requires no heat to transfer the foil to the die cuts and the results are easy and fun!
This project is being featured on the TE blog this Thursday (7/9) and will include a video tutorial on how I created this card from start to finish. Make sure to check it out!
After I foiled all of the die cuts, I added them to a background that is stamped with the hearts from the Over the Rainbow clear stamp set. I stamped the hearts using Sea Salt ink and the effect is very subtle because Sea Salt ink is so light in color, but adds a great look to the card background.
The sentiments are from the newest addition to the Building Blocks collection at Taylored Expressions: the Building Blocks - Be Bright stamp. This stamp has 22 words and phrases that you stamp at one time and then die cut with the coordinating Building Blocks die with one pass through your die cut machine using the innovative alignment guides. I paired a few of the words and phrases from the Building Blocks - Be Bright stamp to create the 'sending you rainbows' sentiment to use on my card. I embossed the words with white embossing powder onto Toffee cardstock and then popped up the strips over the foiled rainbow on my card using foam squares that I trimmed to fit.
