taylored expressions - 12th birthday celebration!

Hey, everyone! Ther 12th Birthday Celebration release is happening at Taylored Expressions this week! I designed a few of the new products making their debut today and I have a pile of projects to share! I did all of my projects using the same color combination - kind of like coordinating everything for a birthday party! You could easily swap out colors to recreate the designs I am sharing to customize them however you wish!

The main color combination I used for the projects in this posts is: Cookie Monster, Granny Smith, and Candy Corn.

All of the new products that I am sharing today are available to purchase RIGHT NOW at Taylored Expressions!

First up is a Mini Slim Trifold card featuring the new Life of the Party stamp set (+ coordinating dies). I used the monkey from the set and colored it with my Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. I popped the monkey into the layered window that is created with the Mini Slim Trifold Template + Dies - Square set.

The balloons and banner sentiments on this project are created with a new collection of products that I designed: the Balloon Bouquet Cling & Clear stamp set and the Balloon Bouquet Additions stamp set (+ coordinating dies). You will see these balloons pop up on a few projects that I created for this release. *wink!*

Opening the card reveals another layer filled with confetti and balloons! The confetti is stamped in Sugar Cube ink onto the Toffee cardstock panel. I added a frame around the window in this layer that is cut using the dies in the Mini Slim Trifold Template + Dies - Square set.

Here's a look at the trifold card completely open. I added the square where the monkey is sitting to the center panel using one of the templates from the Mini Slim Trifold Template + Dies - Square set as a stencil with Sugar Cube ink. I stamped more star confetti and added more balloons to keep the party going all the way to the inside of this card.

This next card is created with my new Balloon Bouquet Cling & Clear stamp set and Balloon Bouquet Additions stamp set (+ coordinating dies). I stamped the main balloon bouquet image and confetti onto Toffee cardstock using Sugar Cube ink. Instead of stamping the fills directly onto the balloons of the main image, I die cut the fill images and adhered them over the top of the corresponding balloon sizes with foam squares.

The sentiment is stamped on the banner from the Balloon Bouquet Additions stamp set and added to the bottom of the card front using foam squares to pop it up a bit.

This card is featured today on the Taylored Expressions blog along with a video tutorial. Check it out to see how I created this card from start to finish as well as a few other ideas for color combinations.

There's a new addition to my Tag Team product collection: Tag Team - Birthday! I created a pile of birthday tags and used a few of them on Mini Slim cards that I created with a few other new products from this release: the On the Block - Happy stamp, the On the Block die, the On Repeat - Birthday stamp, the On Repeat die, and the Bokeh Layered Stencil set.

This pile of tags came together pretty quickly using the Tag Team - Birthday stamp set. I set up my MISTI with a template for the tags to make mass producing the tags quick and easy. I stamped on the pattern blocks, added the sentiments in Oreo ink, and added extra details with the coordinating images in the set. I added white eyelets into the tag holes and looped burlap twine through them so they are ready to add to birthday treats and gifts.

For the card, I created a background design using one of the stencils from the Bokeh Layered Stencil set with Sugar Cube ink on a piece of Toffee cardstock. It's cut out with a Mini Slim Stitched Stacklets die and layered onto a Cookie Monster card base.

The On the Block - Happy is stamped with Cookie Monster ink onto Sugar Cube cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die. I layered the 'happy' word and one of the birthday tags onto the card with foam squares and finished off the sentiment with the 'birthday' word that is stamped with the On Repeat - Birthday stamp and cut out with the coordinating On Repeat dies using the alignment guides.

I love that I have a few more birthday cards and a pile of tags that are ready to go when it's time to celebrate!

And finally for today is a set of treat/favor boxes that I created with my new All Tucked In - Birthday stamp set. I cut out the treat boxes with the All Tuckeded In die and added windows with an All Tucked In Windows die. The pattern on the box is created with the Bokeh Layered Stencil set in ink colors that coordinate with the cardstock I used for each of the boxes and Sugar Cube ink.

I stamped the sentiments from the All Tucked In - Birthday stamp set in Oreo ink and added a few of the birthday icon images from the set around the sentiments in Candy Corn, Cookie Monster, and Granny Smith inks. I cut out the sentiments with the smallest Stiched Banner Stackelets die and attached the strips to the boxes with foam squares.

These boxes are perfect for a party favor and would look so cute at a table setting! I filled these boxes with candy, but you could also tuck a small gift inside too.
