Hey, everyone! Today, I have a few projects to share with you that I created with the new Hey There Kit from Taylored Expressions! This kit is so bright and fun and I feel like it has a bit of an 80's kickback feel - don't you think? Maybe it's the colors I used on my projects...!
Here’s everything included the Hey There Kit – which retails for $70:
- Hey There Stamp & Stencil Combo set
- Hey There Shadow die
- Hey There Sunshine stencil
- Dotty Ray stencil
- Good Vibes stamp set
- 6 Custom Envelope Seals
- 6 Colored Envelopes
- Packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom kit label
This first set of cards I created with the Hey There Kit are shaker cards! To get started, I used the Hey There Stamp & Stencil Combo set from the kit and stamped the 'hey there' sentiments in Oreo ink on Sugar Cube cardstock. I then added the dimensional shadow using the coordinating stencils with Blue Raspberry, Lollipop, and Pineapple inks. The sentiments are cut out with the coordinating Hey There Shadow die. The etched alignment guides on the stencils make lining everything up so easy.
The background on the card is created with both of the stencils in the kit. I stenciled the Hey There Sunshine stencil on Toffee cardstock with Sugar Cube ink, and the added the Dotty Ray stencil in Blue Raspberry, Lollipop, and Pineapple inks over the top by doing a bit of masking.
To put the card together and create the shaker, I die cut an opening using the Hey There Shadow die in the space created by the Hey There Sunshine stencil and used that as a guide to attach the 'hey there' sentiment to the card base. I put acetate over the die cut opening from the back, used Foam Sticky Strips to create the shaker box area and to pop up the whole background piece over the card base. My shakers are filled with the Bits & Pieces - Sparkly Stars!
For this next pair of cards, I stamped the 'hey there' from the Hey There Stamp & Stencil Combo set in Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock and then added the dimensional shadow in Lollipop, Blue Raspberry, and Pineapple inks. I cut out the sentiments with the Hey There Shadow die.
I created the backgrounds for my cards using the Dotty Ray stencil on Cookie Monster cardstock. This time, I stenciled the design twice to complete a circular dotted ray effect. I stenciled it first in Blue Raspberry ink and then again with Sugar Cube ink, offsetting it a bit from the first stenciled design. I added the 'hey there' sentiments popped up with foam squares into the center of the circular design and then stamped coordinating sentiments underneath from the Good Vibes stamp set in Oreo ink. My finishing touch is the Bits & Pieces - Clear Drip Drops placed around the 'hey there' sentiments!
