taylored expressions - holiday release!

Hey, everyone! It's time for the holiday release at Taylored Expressions! This post is a big one with a whole pile of projects created with the new release products. (I am also sharing a post today with projects featuring new products for the Making Merry release at The Greetery - make sure to check it out!)

All of the new products that I am sharing today are available to purchase RIGHT NOW at Taylored Expressions!

Let's start things off with my new St. Nick Background Cling & Clear Combo set. If you liked the Frosty Kit that was released last summer and the Hop to It set that was released last spring, I think you might like this new set too. The St. Nick Background Cling & Clear Combo set features a red rubber background stamp that creates a whole background of Santas and a coordinating polymer stamp set to add color to Santa's hat, face, nose, beard, and more! There is a coordinating stencil to add a star pattern between the Santa heads and a coordinating die to cut out the individual Santas too.

I created a pair of cards with the whole Santa background, adding color with the coordinating clear set, and adding sparkly stars with the coordinating stencil.

The sentiments are a part of the included clear set and I stamped them onto strips that are die cut with the Sentiment Strips Duo die collection from Cherry Pop cardstock. This die collection was a part of the Frosty Kit and is now available to purchase in the TE webstore! The finishing touch on the cards are a few sparkly stars that I die cut from red glitter cardstock and scattered around the sentiment.

I also created a pile of Christmas tags using individual Santas that I cut out with the St. Nick's Head die. I added them to tag bases that are cut from Toffee cardstock with the Bracket Notecard die. The tag bases have borders that I stenciled using the Mini Slim Candy Cane Stripes, Mini Slim On the Dot stencils, and a square mask from the Masking Stencils - Squares set. The sentiments are again stamped onto the Sentiment Strip Duo die cuts and I also added more glittery stars to the tags.

This next card features the new Fill in the Blank Cling & Clear Combo set. The set has several sentiments that you fill in the 'O' using an image. To fill in the 'O" on this snowy card, I used an individual die cut snowman head from the Frosty Background Cling & Clear Combo set. This set was a part of the Frosty Kit that was released last summer and it is now available to purchase individually. In fact, many of the products that were a part of the Frosty Kit are now individually available to purchase for this release!

The background on this card is created with the new Let it Snow Layering Stencil set. The set includes 3 stencils that layer together to create the snowy look. I created the background using Salt Water Taffy, Confetti Cake, and Cookie Monster inks. Peeking out from the bottom of the card is Confetti Cake cardstock that is stenciled with the new Mini Slim Candy Cane Stripes stencil. I finished off my card with a few of the new Bits & Pieces - Silver Drip Drops that I scattered around the 'let it snow' sentiment.

This next card also uses the Let it Snow Layering Stencil set. This time I stenciled the snowflakes with Cherry Pop, Sweet Basil, and Sugar Cube inks on Toffee cardstock. I also added the Moondust Stickles Glitter Gel on top of the Sugar Cube layer for a bit of extra sparkle.

The sentiment is from the Tag Team - Christmas stamp set and is stamped on a coordinating Tag Team die cut and embossed in white. The Tag Team - Christmas stamp set was part of a kit released last November at TE and it's now available to purchase! I stenciled the Mini Slim Candy Cane Stripes onto a Toffee Tag Team die cut with Sugar Cube ink.

The tags are layered together and popped up on the card front with foam squares. I also added a bit of red glitter cardstock peeking out from behind the stenciled background at the bottom of the card.

The Big Grumpy collection at TE always has me laughing and the new Big Grumpy - Christmas stamp set is no exception! I added the antlers to Big Grumpy - Cat and piled a bunch of treats around him to go with the 'he sees you when you're eating' sentiment. The round candies are actually from the Big Grumpy - Halloween stamp set that I colored in reds and greens for this Christmas card!

All of my coloring for this card is done with Copic markers for the base colors and shading with Prismacolor pencils blended with Gamsol. I added sparkle to the Christmas treats using a glue pen and Rock Candy Distress glitter.

I added Big Grumpy and his treats to a Toffee Mini Slim (3.5" x 6") card base. I used the new Mini Slim Masking Rectangle to add the blended rectangle in the center of the card and stamped a few snowflakes in Sugar Cube ink scattered down the card from the Winter Wishes stamp set (this set was previously a part of the Frosty Kit and is now available to purchase individually!)

And finally for today is a card design that is perfect for mass production! If you stop by the TE Blog today, this project is featured along with a video and a few tips and tricks for mass producing cards.

I created the background of the card with the Poinsettia & Pine stencil, adding color with my Blender Brushes onto Toffee cardstock. The poinsettias are Cherry Pop and Mulled Wine inks, the leaves are Avocado and Olive inks, the berries are Cherry Pop ink, and the other flowers and dots are Honey ink.

The sentiment is created with the new On the Block - Merry stamp using Mulled Wine ink on Sugar Cube cardstock. The 'merry' word is paired with 'Christmas' that is stamped with the On Repeat - Christmas stamp and cut out using the On Repeat die. The On Repeat stamp gives you eight words with one impression that you can cut out at the same time using the alignment guides on the On Repeat die.

The finishing touches on this card design are a few splatters with Chocolate Truffle liquid watercolor and Sugar Cube ink refill and the Bits & Pieces - Silver Drip Drops that are scattered around the sentiment.
