Hey, everyone! There's a new kit at Taylored Expressions to create a unique, handcrafted calendar for 2021. I put together a few of the month pages to share with you today. This a a great project to make for yourself and perfect for creating as a gift. You can keep things clean and simple or add lots of detail. I think my project falls in the middle - pretty simple, but I added a bit of sparkle and vellum to step things up.

For each of the pages in my calendar, I laid down lighter tones of color with my blender brushes on the top portion of the calendar page and then added the stenciled design over the top in darker tones of color. For the month names, I embossed the Group Text - Months stamp in white on Toffee cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating Group Text die. I added the months to a piece of vellum that is cut out using the smallest rectangle in the Mini Slim Stitched Stacklets die collection.
This July page features a star design stencil - the stencils are numbered to correspond with the months or you can mix and match them how ever you would like! I put down Cupcake and Confetti Cake inks and then added the stars over the top in Cherry Pop and Blueberry inks. I used Stickles Glitter Gel in the Moon Dust color in just a few stars in the design for a touch of sparkle. The Scotch low tack tape is perfect to use for masking off the different areas to add the glitter gel to.
August features a leafy design for the stencil. I laid down Mint Julep and Confetti Cake inks first and then added the leafy pattern with Peapod and Cookie Monster inks. I added the sparkle to a few of the leaves going across the design.
September is a pretty mum flower design for the stencil. I laid down Peaches 'n' Cream and Pineapple inks and then stenciled the design with Honey and Candy Corn inks. There is sparkle in the center flower burst and on a few random petals on the side.
October is a fun stencil covered with bats! I laid down Earl Gray and Poppy Seed inks and then added the bats using Oreo ink with a sponge dauber tool (I don't generally use my blender brushes with Oreo ink because it's so dark). There is sparkle on a few of the bats that are peeking out from under the vellum.
November features a pile of leaves on the stencil! I laid down Mint Julep, Pineapple, and Peaches 'n' Cream inks and then added the leaves in Candy Corn, Honey, and Peapod inks. There is sparkle on a few of the leaves scattered across the design.
December is a bunch of fun Christmas/pine trees - this one is my favorite! I laid down Mint Julep ink and then added the trees with Peapod ink and Cookie Monster ink to highlight the snow pattern a bit. I added sparkle to a few often trees across the design.
