taylored expressions - happy new year!

Hey, everyone! First things first today, I hope all of you who are eligible to vote in the United States have made a plan to make that happen. It's SO important.

Now, are you ready for 2020 to be over? I am very ready for a fresh start and have great hopes for all good things in 2021. Today, Taylored Expressions is releasing several new products to help all of the celebrate the New Year! I have a few projects to share with you today created with a few of them.

All of the new products that I am sharing today are available to purchase RIGHT NOW at Taylored Expressions!

Up first is a card that I created with the newest in the On Repeat collection: On Repeat - New Year. This stamp gives you eight 'new year' words in one impression and then you can cut all of them out at one time using the coordinating On Repeat die. I paired On Repeat - New Year with the On the Block - Happy stamp to create the sentiment for this card to celebrate the new year.

The background of the card is created with the Fireworks Stamp & Stencil Combo set I designed that was released last spring. There's currently a promotion on this set you can learn more about at the end of this post or at the TE webstore.

The star background is stamped with Sugar Cube ink on Poppy Seed cardstock and I went all out on the shimmer and shine by combining silver embossing and foiling to create the fireworks with the stencils. It's so shiny and sparkly - I love it!

Tune into the TE Blog this Thursday to see a video tutorial on how I created this project from start to finish!

The background on this next card is created with the Party Popper Layered Stencil set. It's perfect for to celebrate the new year, but it's also great use on a cards to celebrate occasions like a birthday, graduation, wedding, and more. I went for a more sophisticated look on this card and used a black, white, and gray color combination.

I added the smaller confetti using Sugar Cube ink on Poppy Seed cardstock and then added the larger confetti with Oreo ink that has a layer of the Dark Matter Stickles Glitter Gel over the top. For extra sparkle, I sprinkled on more glitter from my stash!

The sentiment on this card is created by combining the Caps Lock - Yay die with the Building Blocks - Be Bright stamp. I die cut the letters for the 'yay!' word from Oreo cardstock several times and stacked them up so that the word pops up a bit from the card front. I used the 'oh happy day' phrase from the Building Blocks - Be Bright stamp, stamping it on Oreo ink on Sugar Cube cardstock and cutting it out with the coordinating Building Blocks die. It's added to the card with a foam sticky strip with a few star confetti pieces attached around it to finish things off.

Here's more information on the promotion that I mentioned above:

Now through Sunday, November 8th, you can purchase the Fireworks Stamp & Stencil Combo set for 15% off the regular retail price - while supplies last. This is the set I used on my first project above!
