Hey, everyone! I am excited to share one of my very favorite crafty thing for Christmas - tags!
The Greetery is participating in 25 Days of Christmas Tags that is put on by Tracey McNeely. Right now it's day 20 and so if you haven't discovered all of the wonderful tags that have been shared this year, make sure to take some time to check out all of the inspiration!
I pulled out the BotaniCuts Pine Bough dies to create something woodsy and rustic. I put the pinecones together with kraft cardstock that I blended a bit of darker brown ink onto. The pinecone looks so amazing when it's all put together! I added that to a branch that is created with a darker brown cardstock and pine needles that are cut from a dark green cardstock and blended with a dark green ink. I adding lots of splatters with white ink and brown liquid watercolor.
Since I had everything out, I kept cutting and blending to create four coordinating tags. It took me just a little bit longer, but definitely shorter than if I had to dig everything out again!
The tag base is kraft cardstock that I stenciled snowflakes onto with modeling paste. I sprinkled glitter over the paste while it was still wet to add a bit of sparkle. The frame is die cut with the two smaller frames in the Nordic frames die collection. The details on the frame add to the rustic nod of the tag design.
To finish things off, I added a small tag stamped with 'Merry Christmas' to the pine branch with a bit of burlap twine. An eyelet and ribbon added at the top of the tag make these tags gift ready.
