Hey, everyone! I have a fun "extra" project to share today. A few of my crafty friends and I decided to craft with the exclusive Full of Flowers products that were a part of Stamp Joy 2020 at Taylored Expressions. We created a set of projects - I did cards and coordinating tags - that are perfect to bundle up for a gift. While the Full of Flowers products are not available to purchase at this time, you could use a floral set from your own crafty collection to create using some of the same techniques that I used. (Or maybe you attended Stamp Joy 2020 and already own the Full of Flowers products!)
I also have a fun announcement to share at the end of this post, so keep scrolling!
For this first design, I stamped the Full of Flowers background onto Toffee cardstock with Sugar Cube ink and used that for the background on both the cards and tags.
I stamped more of the Full of Flowers backgrounds onto Sugar Cube cardstock, added color using the coordinating Full of Flowers stencil and my Blender Brushes, and cut them out with the Full of Flowers - Singles dies. Using the stencils was such a great way to add color to multiple images in a short amount of time! You could absolutely color the images with Copics, watercolors, colored pencils, and more. I also added bunch of splatters over the colored flowers and leaves with Copic Opaque White ink and a water brush.
I stamped the sentiment from the Full of Flowers onto the background and then arranged the colored die cut flowers around it, popping some of the flowers up with foam squares to add dimension.
The tags are cut out with the Tag Stacklets 2 die collection and I added the sentiment and flowers in the same way as I did on the cards. On both the cards and tags I added clear drip drops scattered through the flowers for a final finishing touch!
On this next design, I stamped the Full of Flowers background onto Sugar Cube cardstock with Oreo ink and then added color to just a portion of the flowers and leaves using the coordinating stencils. Masking worked really well to keep the color where I wanted it! I love the contrast of the black and white outlines with the full color flowers. I added lots of white splatters again here with the Copic Opaque White ink and a water brush.
The sentiment is embossed onto a strip of vellum with black embossing powder and then layered over the background design. I cut the strips a bit wider than the card front and tags so I could fold the edges over and adhere them on the back. I always love how vellum allows the design to show through while allowing the sentiment to stand out. I added a few clear drip drops around the sentiments on the card and tags to finish them off.
