Hey, everyone! I am popping in today with Christmas gift card packaging inspiration to share with you using products from Taylored Expressions. I don't know about you, but when it comes to last minute shopping and hard to buy for people on my gift buying list, gift cards are the perfect solution! Instead of packaging them up in a plain envelope, it's fun to do something festive for the recipient to open.
I used the hinged tins from Taylored Expressions to package up the gift card. To dress the tin up, I created a wrap from a strip of Cherry Pop cardstock that I stenciled using the Mini Slim - On the Dot stencil with Mulled Wine ink. I had to move the stencil along the strip to get the stenciled design on the whole thing and it was very easy to line up to repeat the pattern. I also had to add a few spatters using Sugar Cue ink refill and Chocolate Truffle liquid watercolor. A bit of sticky tape holds the wrap in place perfectly around the tin.
I tied red ribbon around the wrap and added a tag featuring the cute Christmas tree from the Jolly Holidays stamp set. I colored the tree with Copic markers and added shading with Prismacolor pencils that are blended with Gamsol. I added clear drip drops over the ornaments and glitter to the star for extra sparkle and shine. The sentiment is stamped on the Toffee cardstock Tag Stacklets 3 die cut, I added a few wooden stars , and tied it to the red ribbon with a bit of burlap twine.
The wrap slides right off of the hinged tin and I used the On Display Tin Insert die cut tucked inside to give the gift card a perfect place to sit. I added polka dots onto the die cut insert just like I did on the wrap for the outside.
This cute gift card packaging is ready for gifting and it is going to look adorable sitting with the presents under the tree!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I will be back again soon with more crafty inspiration to share!
