I have a couple of card designs to share with you today that I created with the kit.

The new Happy Hex Monogram Kit is available to purchase RIGHT NOW in the Taylored Expressions webstore!

For this first set of cards, I was going for something with lots of color... for me, anyways! I stamped the background in white on Toffee cardstock and added a rainbow of mini hexagons that are cut out with the Happy Hex dies into the design. I stamped the striped hexagon patterns from the Happy Hex Add-ons stamp set with Sugar Cube ink into the spaces in the background that do not have a die cut hexagon. I cut out the background piece using the Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets die to layer on the Mini Slim card base.

The opening on the background is cut out with the larger hexagon die from the kit and I stamped the sentiments on the card base (that is top fold!) so that they show through the opening. A few clear drip drops scattered around the sentiments on the cards finish things off.

You might notice the envelope seals in my pictures. In the kit, they come with the center open and you can leave them that way or use a permanent ink to add a monogram, small image, or sentiment. I used Jet Black Stazon ink to add the 'hello' sentiment onto my envelope seals.

I could definitely bundle up this set of cards to gift to a friend and they would also be perfect for my own personal card stash...!

This next set of cards are personalized with a monogram. Monogrammed cards are a great option for a special gift! I embossed the 'H' from the Typewriter Alpha stamp set in white on Toffee cardstock several times and cut them out with the larger hexagon in the Happy Hex die set.

I added the monograms to card bases that I stamped with the Happy Hex Mini Slim Background stamp in an ink color that coordinates with the cardstock backgrounds to create a tone on tone look. Granny Smith, Cookie Monster, and Cherry Pop are the colors that I used for my cards. I added the mini hexagons into the background design with the coordinating stencil in Sugar Cube ink. The thin strips of cardstock to the bottom of the cards in a darker, coordinating cardstock color adds a base to the card and gives it a finished look.

For a bit of sparkle I added white rhinestones scattered around the monogram - and these cards are complete! You could recreate this card design in every color of the rainbow or create a set of cards using the recipients favorite color(s).
